More idioms.

‘You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink’ means you can give someone all the help and advice to solve a problem or situation, but you can’t force them to take it or do it.  People have to help themselves.

She’s a ‘chip off the old block’ means, she has a similar character to her mother or could also be her father.  Another way of describing it, ‘she’s just like her mother’.
