This day in History.

For all those native English-speaking people living in the UK who like Soap Operas.

On this day in 1932, William Roache MBE, British actor known best (probably only) for his role as Ken Barlow in the soap opera Coronation Street on ITV, was born.  He is the longest-serving cast member, having appeared since the first episode on 9th December 1960. Roache is also the world’s longest-serving television actor (as of September 2010.)  My God!  He’s 80 years of age and looking good on it!  Last time I saw him on TV, that is.

TELLING ALL William Roache, Coronation Street’s ‘steady’ Ken Barlow, has confessed to sleeping with 1,000 women
