Music. Nostalgia from the 60’s!

Boy!  I must be getting old……………….Travel back in time to the 60’s for a little bit different slant on the music spot.  But I was only 7 or 8 years old when this was a hit!  Who remembers ‘The Seekers‘, a group from the 60’s that had a number of hits.  This one, ‘Georgy Girl‘ was one of their most popular and was the theme song for the film, ‘Georgy Girl’ starring Lynne Redgrave and Alan Bates.  When films were in BLACK & WHITE!

And I only discovered today that the lyrics were written by Actor, Jim Dale famous for his ‘Carry On‘ film roles!  The song won the International Laurel Award for Best Song in 1966.
