On this day in UK History. With an additional Music Spot!

On this day in 1984, Band Aid created by Bob Geldoff and Midge Ure, rock stars gathered at Studios in London to record ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas‘, to aid famine relief in Ethiopia.  It has raised millions of pounds for this relief.

In the following July of 1985 ‘Live Aid‘ was organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for relief of the ongoing Ethiopian famine.

But…..and, unfortunately 28 years later what has changed?  Did it make a difference?
