** New dates for 2013 will be published in due course.
As a ‘Volunteer’, YOU are very important to the success of this course. For Volunteers, it’s not exactly a holiday, more a break with a commitment and agreement to follow the course instructions. And for your time, you get to stay in a 3 Star hotel with accommodation, breakfast, lunch and evening meal provided free of charge for 6 days, as well as making new friends.
We need people who will commit to the programme for its duration (7 days, 6 nights) who can speak English naturally, are outgoing, social and enjoy meeting people, particularly with other nationalities and can work individually or as part of a team.
Your commitment is to attend the course for the duration and just speak your native language. You are not expected to be a teacher, although teachers are more than welcome. You will be required to have breakfast, lunch and evening meal sitting with students conversing in English about anything and everything! The meals will be organised where you will get to meet each of the students at one time or another to enjoy a meal (breakfast, lunch or evening meal) and converse sitting with another ‘Anglo’ or native speaking English person and two students. There will be free time but not much! You are also expected to attend all the Group activities which in the main will occur late afternoon until evening meal. Then you have free time!
Oh, and after breakfast you will be required to have at least three ‘chats’ (One-to-One’s) with different students every morning until lunch. Each ‘chat’ lasting between 50-60 minutes.
All you have to do is be able to get to the location…….and start talking!
Still interested? Then contact us via e-mail at:
We will need your name, date of birth, National ID (where applicable) address, contact telephone number and a brief profile of yourself. i.e. previous employment and why you want to attend the course. This can be as short or as long as you wish. But we would like to know a little about you, particularly the reasons for applying and what you can bring to the course to help students improve their English conversation.
The first course is being planned at the beginning of October 2012 in Didsbury, Manchester. If this date is not convenient, someone you know may well be interested? This is open to anyone who is a Native English speaker. And then, we hope to be planning further courses in the future.
