On this day in UK History. Hic!

Hic! On this day in 1993, the last 14 bottles of Scotch whisky salvaged from the SS Politician, wrecked in 1941 and the inspiration of the book and film, Whisky Galore, were sold at auction for £11,462. Hic!

Wonder if they have all been drunk?

AND!  There are apparently two ways of spelling Whisky.  WHISKY is distilled from my homeland as well as Wales, Canada, Japan and other countries.  Well I didn’t know Japan or Wales distilled whisky.  Anyway, WHISKEY refers to whisky distilled from Ireland and the United States.  Why the difference? Hic!
